inspirations for our future home...

If your like me, you sit around and daydream about what your future home will look like.
We are about to start renting a different home and I cannot wait to start fixing it up.
I like a balance of minimalism and personalization.
Not to much clutter but enough to get the owners personality ;)
I found some photos on flickr that I adored...and are ideal for me :)
Living room...
Different color choices on the walls, but simply beautiful.
love all the colors, orchids and trinkets.

Odds and ends that must be present...
All over my home, greenery.

  1. I love all of this! I have been day dreaming about decorating since we too will be moving in the very super near future (as in I go tomorrow to find somewhere to live out in Tennessee).
I can't wait to see more, we have such similar styles, it is shame we don't live closer! I could use someone to decorate with in person. :)

  2. I love seeing things like this, it inspires me to do great things and tweak my own ideas. There is a picture you have up with pom pom balls hanging in a bunch above the crib- you said all in white. It would be absolutely stunning- girl or boy. I make those for my kids birthdays every year, a new color. They have a collection in their rooms now of each color. I make them for friends as well and every time I make some, I take one out or make an extra for their rooms. They are awesome, especially in different cuts on the rims and colors!

Let me know if you make them, I have awesome tips on how to make them easier to put together <3

Totally happy for you and your family on finding out the gender of your baby bump! I remember being so excited with my munchkins.

  3. It took me forever to find this link, I don't know why I didn't save it!
Anyway, this is a tutorial on pom poms made from old t-shirts! My plan is to hang them over the changing table rather than the crib, but only because my best friend wants to make a mobile for the baby. :)
