Loving: My Nest I won over on Justina Blakeney's blog. If you haven't heard of the Nest, swing over and check it out. I am loving the sleek design, it was designed by the same guy who designed the iPod if that tells you anything. My favorite thing about it though and the more obvious reason to purchase one is the energy saving features. This chart explains how it saves you money. I'll keep you posted on my noticed $$ savings.
Listening: Ray LaMontagne and The Pariah Dogs "God willin' and the creek don't rise." I love Ray's music. His album "Trouble" was the soundtrack to last Summer for me. I would have it on repeat. I rocked Ocean to sleep many nights while waiting for Marc to get off work listening to it.
Reading: "Finding Joy: 101 ways to free your spirit and dance with life" by Charlotte Kasal One of the best books I have ever read. I don't really get into fiction books, I prefer inspiring non-fiction any day. This book has been so refreshing. I wish I could articulate my thoughts better so that you could grasp how truly life changing this book has been for me. You should read it.
Watching: Marc and I have been watching less TV lately but we were loving Veep and can't wait for the new season to start. Its a political satire from HBO. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is fantastic, and of course, Tony Hale. I will always have a soft spot for Buster Bluth in my heart. Anna Clumsky is in it as well. It's really interesting to see her since as I preteen I was constantly told I looked just like her. (?)
Thinking about: Finally getting into a good flow with blogging. I feel good about the direction blogging is heading. It's like I have finally tapped into some slow and steady inspiration.
Making me sad: Oh you know, hormones have been a little crazy. You would have thought mother nature might have come up with a better way of letting us know that we aren't pregnant this month.
Making me happy: My man. It's about this time he gets home everyday and I have him for the whole weekend. Law school has been keeping him occupied, our lives are hectic but I appreciate the weekend so much now. I love having him all to myself. We are about to head out to run some errands and kick off the weekend right with some good food...and probably beer. (I love a good wheat beer, recommendations?)
What are you guys up to this weekend?
