luna turns one.

It was super simple. Ocean and I concocted a pound cake recipe and we had a simple dinner. Daddy made chocolate icing and Ocean was thrilled to add some sprinkles. It was sweet.

Luna loved the cake and she loved us singing Happy Birthday. She would even throw in a Happy Birthday herself, although it sounded like "hap-ber-day".

I didn't get anymore photos since we started singing and I started to tear up. Luna is my baby and she is already a year old. And here, my Ocean is already asking to do things like helping light candles. Sometimes you just have that stillness take over and wonder how the time went by so quickly, and you hold onto the memories and you cry, but there is a sort of wonder in the tears. Not so much sadness, just appreciation, at least for me. Sorrow that the time is gone but happiness for the things to come.
