blog love: life's little thrills.

Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday. It is raining here and besides the normal noise, it is pretty peaceful and relaxed.

I always love reading what my sponsors have to say in their interviews. I particularly enjoy seeing what they are reading, blog and book wise.
Snuggle up with a blanket, and enjoy today's interview with Jazmine.
Hola, I'm Jazmin. I'm 24 years-old and I was born in Guatemala but I've been residing in the state of Illinois for over 10 years. I am wife to David & mommy to sweet Audrey. Thanks to my awesome husband, I'm a stay at home mom and a full-time college student, studying to become a Chemical Engineer. I am on a path to live a healthier and simpler life. I love my home, planet earth and aspire to take care of it. My husband calls me "tree hugger" and yes, I am! I'm very proud of it! This is my venue to write & capture life's little thrills, including our world traveling adventures. I hope you'll enjoy!

What book are you currently reading?
My mother in-law recently gave me a book called The Seamstress: A Memoir of Survival. I'm also reading a $0.50 book find (at the library) called Room. Though I am not currently reading it, one of my favorite books is The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho

What are your 3 favorite blog posts?

Have you experienced a moment of growth lately?
Constantly in my daily life I experience moments of growth. I am taught lessons by my 3 year-old daughter. At her young age, she has taught me to be a better person, to have more patience, to be grateful, and to love unconditionally. She is a reminder of God's love for us.

A blog you have been loving lately:
Tibault and toad. I love this blog! Noel's creativity is impressive and her daughter Indigo is adorable!

Some words that have resonated with you lately:
I have some quotes I personally love.
These are:
"My thoughts turn to something I read once, something about the Zen Buddhists believe. They say that an oak tree is brought into creation by two forces at the same time. Obviously, there is the acorn from which it all begins, the seed which holds all the promise and potential, which grows into the tree. Everybody can see that. But only a few can recognize that there is another force operating here as well-the future tree itself, which wants so badly to exist that it pulls the acorn into being, drawing the seedling forth with longing out the void, guiding the evolution from nothingness to maturity. In this respect, say the Zens, it is the oak tree that creates the very acorn from which it was born." from Eat, Pray, Love

"We are shaped and fashioned by what we love." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

This last one is in regards to the two books I'm currently reading, "Let's pray that the human race never escapes Earth to spread its iniquity elsewhere." - C. S. Lewis

    1. Thanks Lisa! I didn't use to see it, I used to think she looked just like my husband, but now I see it. Sometimes I look at the mirror and I see Audrey in me, not to mention Audrey and I have both have only one dimple on the same side ;-)
