That being said, a home tour is coming soon! The iPhone photos don't do our home justice. It is beautiful. I am blessed.
Meanwhile, here are a few peeks into my home.
Part of my collage in our living room.
I am so thankful for all the natural light here. It is my favorite thing about our home. Oh, well tied with the wood floors.
Not having a dryer hasn't actually been that bad. I don't know if it is worth forking the money over for.
Laundry to be folded.
Laundry room.
Our mini-fridge has actually been meeting our needs. Again, just re-adjusting what we consider a need. I have actually found that less food is going to waste because it doesn't get pushed to the back and forgotten about. Everything gets used and the fridge is usually almost empty when it is grocery shopping time again.
A very happy spot in my house.
a few things...
ReplyDeletei love your flight of the conchords fridge magnets. i need them. they're great.
also, the shot of your dining room - all that light and the plants. too good.
I love that all the people whose blogs I'm following seem to be doing these "peeks into their home" kind of thing. Your home is wonderful and brings just the right feeling... so homey.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing inside your home, it really says something about a person:) Yours looks amazing, love the light and the details.
ReplyDeleteThat dining room is to die for. So much love for your posts lately (even though I've been too busy to comment).
ReplyDeletelove your blog & excited to see more of your home. so many people are too obsessed with material things & ideals, but you have such an organic natural way about you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteWhat does the little note above your sink say? "Load dishes. Don't St..."? I only ask because I had to hang a picture above our sink to remind my handsome husband not to leave his dishes in the disposal side of our double sink. The little things we do to keep the peace, huh? ;)
ReplyDeletehaha!
DeleteMarc made that note after I kept asking him to go ahead and just load dishes instead of stacking them in the sink. Sweet of him. :)
Definitely helps keep the peace! I don't know why that is such a peeve of mine, but man it gets under my skin!
You have a Beautiful home! It is so cool to be able to see a little tour! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you only have the perfect amount of furniture and decoration! You have created a beautiful space for your family! May I ask where did you find the hanging birds from the fourth photograph? I've been looking for one like that!
ReplyDeleteWorld Market! It is one of my favorite stores. I bet you could find similar on Etsy or Ebay though!
DeleteDiggin' those Flight of the Concord magnets!
ReplyDeleteThe light is amazing! It's on the top of my list when we eventually move. I love that you always make what you have into enough. You are quite the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSuch great light! :)
ReplyDeleteThe light is wonderful! And wooden floors as well!
ReplyDeleteNot having a drier is actually a very environmenta choice. They are really bad for the environment, use huge amounts of energy and the clothes get worn out quicker. The only place where I've found them useful was while living on the coast of Northern Ireland - my clothes took easily up to 3-4 day to dry on the rack... Lot's of patience and extra underwear needed while waiting!
haha! Patience is always good.
DeleteI agree! Good for the environment!
Jealous of all your natural light! You home looks beautiful, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty home. The natural light is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI seriously have not used a dryer for over four years. My clothes last way longer and of course my energy bill is way lower. Down with dryers! Such a pointless expense and huge huge waste of energy! Air drying is free and easier on your clothes. (sorry, i get a little passionate about not using dryers...)
ReplyDeleteRight!? Get it, girl!
Deleteyour house is pretty and i too love all the natural light =) xo

What do you use to hang dry your clothes? I wash ours by hand at home using a WonderWash and hang dry them as well. This is the first winter I've had to hang dry them and I quickly realized clothes clothes don't dry when it's in the negatives outside! Duh. I have a regular wood drying rack but want the extender one, especially for when I use cloth diapers in the future.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute house! The wood floors and natural light are definitely my favorite as well.
We got these metal racks at Target. I use them the most. Some times they are thrown over the back of chairs.
DeleteNow when it is Winter, I try to move the clothes over vents at night so the heat helps them dry quicker.
Thank you!!
DeleteLoveliness is your natural lighting and your wooden flooring. <3
ReplyDeletelove this, i love seeing little pieces of people's homes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. Your home is so lovely and cozy looking. The natural light is fantastic! Looking forward to some more photos :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, your home is just beautiful. I hope our new home has that much natural light. Little things like that put me in great mood.
ReplyDeletePS- I have been seeing that book every where! Is it any good?

It seems that you really have a lot of laundry there. :p Anyway, I would love to see more photos of your house! I wonder what it looks like especially on the outside. Does your home have the same style like the one in front of yours?
ReplyDeleteI am planning on posting some ASAP. Still getting a few things right thought.
DeleteOur home has a cottage feel to it, I'll see if I can post a photo of the front without giving away our location!
