I like to think of my body as a work of art. Not because it is perfect by any means. (What is perfect anyway?) Rather because it is an outer manifestation of something so much greater and more meaningful. I guess there are always the people that may judge me by my skin color, body size, or outer beauty. Sure it may affect me in some undesirable ways, but to be honest they are the ones missing out because they are the ones missing who I really am. -Bhrett
my body can give bear hugs to my nieces and nephews and chase them around the yard, but it can't fit into pants that are less than a size 12. my wrists are still skinny like when I was a kid but the purple stripes on my stomach and breasts show my age, my lacking relationship with exercise, and a huge love of dessert + pasta. but despite my hang ups, my insecurities and not so great choices - this is my body. my one body for my one life. so sometimes, you've just got to take it. take it for what it is, love it, and don't look back. sure, i'm not thrilled to wear a swimsuit and tend to suffer from "what will other people think!"-syndrome, but i cannot and will not let that stop me from enjoying the sun 'n surf, enjoying life! - Megan
